- Risk Assessments
-
Risk Assessments analyse and forecast risks specific to your vessel in the next 24 hours to 7 days and are specific to: ROUTE, PORT or REGION.
The vessel-centric nature of our Risk Assessments means that they take account of your vessel’s capabilities, limitations and your existing on-board security measures including the impact of the local meteorological conditions on your surveillance equipment.
- Incidents and Advisories Alerts
-
Our Incident & Advisory service provides near real-time reporting on incidents of piracy, terrorism and human, drugs and weapons trafficking.
Reports are regularly updated and include photographic representation of the threats, where available and risk mitigation advice and recommendations.
- Vessel Safety Monitoring Service
-
Ideal for large fleets or individual vessels, our Full Vessel Safety Monitoring uses live observations from vessels at sea, overlaid with our existing operating picture to create a Wide Area Picture of the threats across entire oceans.
These regular observations which include vessel traffic, VHF traffic and localized weather data, help to create a running threat assessment, 24-hours a day.
When using our Vessel Safety Monitoring service, the position of your vessel is assessed and evaluated at 6 hour intervals to determine its position relative to any developing threats. Where your vessel’s position or a change in threat activity causes an increase in risk, the reporting interval will be increased and our analysts will maintain contact with the vessel as the situation develops, diverting you around the threat where necessary.
Any vessel which fails to meet their intended waypoints or submit their positional information at the required interval will trigger an alarm and pre-agreed procedures will be instigated. If the vessel’s location and security status cannot be clarified, emergency procedures will implemented immediately.
- Vessel Security Survey Reports
-
These provide a comprehensive review of your vessel’s structural, personnel and operational strengths and weaknesses – assessed relative to the known and projected threats your vessel will face during passage or alongside. This enables you to amend your security policy and prioritise and implement any additional security measures prior to departure.
Auditable areas include:
- Structural weaknesses
- Countermeasures – options and rigging advice
- Surveillance equipment & capabilities
- Crew knowledge, vigilance & training
- Private security options
- Emergency Operating Procedures
All findings and recommendations are conveyed in a detailed report for your internal references.
