Retiring from the Royal Navy as a Senior Rate after 27 years’ service, Gary joined Dryad in April 2011. Gary’s career has taken him on deployments around the world, including East of Suez for maritime interdiction and anti-piracy operations; anti-smuggling tours in the Caribbean as well as general maritime security patrols in the Mediterranean and the Far East.

Primarily a radar specialist, Gary has extensive experience of security operations both at sea and ashore. Gary’s latter sea going appointments involved the collation and dissemination of intelligence and information and the provision of advice to the ship Command teams. Also an instructor at the Royal Navy Maritime Warfare School, Gary trained and briefed Senior Officers to Junior Ratings in Warfare disciplines.
