An expert in naval warfare, air and surface surveillance and maritime constabulary operations, Graeme is the founder of Dryad Maritime. During his 16 years as a Royal Navy Warfare Officer, he gained experience in fisheries protection, anti-piracy, counter smuggling and mine warfare. He is an industry spokesperson and has extensive experience of consulting commercial and governmental agencies in strategic maritime operations.
Peter Bartlett-Horwood MBE
Head of Customer Relations
Peter joined the Dryad team in 2011 after 34 years with the Royal Navy where he was awarded an MBE for his work as head of Fleet management. Responsible for launching Dryad’s state of the art 24/7 operations room at the Portsmouth HQ he also designed and implemented the flagship Security Management Service before being appointed to Head of Customer Relations.

With 22 years of service with the Royal Navy dealing with warfare and intelligence, Mike is responsible for the day to day delivery of services to our clients.
Following 23 years in the Royal Navy, Ken joined Dryad as a Regional and Senior Analyst sharing his experience and knowledge with clients to ensure safety of life at sea and in hostile environments. His role focuses on reporting and analysing the threat posed to commercial seamen from maritime criminals, conflict, and pirates in high risk areas.

Joining the team in 2011, Jo was brought in to develop what has become Dryad’s award winning intelligence handling system “Moneypenny”. With a background in developing weapon and radio management software with UK and U.S law enforcement, he brings to the team expertise from time spent with the UK Home Office, South African Police Force and London Underground.
Kirsten Gibbon Brooks
Head of Training
After 18 years of service as a Royal Navy Officer, Kirsten is a fully qualified management consultant. This unusual mix of experience in the maritime and management world gives her an ideal skill set for her operational, training and quality assurance roles within Dryad.
Head of Research & Development
Phil joins Dryad following 19 years in the Royal Air Force; principally as a fighter pilot and instructor and latterly in the joint forces environment in command roles. His aviation knowledge in sensors, performance and human factors combined with his BEng in Aeronautical Engineering make him ideally placed to head up our R&D and systems work.
Having worked for Dryad Maritime for over two years, Lewis is part of our close-knit professional analysis hub, assisting mariners in keeping safe in the face of global maritime risk. With a First Class Honours degree specialising in strategic security, politics and conflict Lewis brings current and comprehensive understanding of regional risk, cause and response to the Dryad team.
As a King’s College London Political Science graduate, Ben is part of Dryad’s mentoring program reflecting the company’s commitment to training and developing the next generation of intelligence analysts. Supporting our team of experts, Ben works alongside the operations team in providing risk analysis and insight.
Having studied International Relations at University with a major in terrorism, Finn supports our team of analysts by providing a fresh conceptual approach to the problems faced by modern mariners. Part of our mentoring program, Finn continues to learn the skills and knowledge required to flourish into a fully-fledged risk analyst.
